Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (VSC)

Glenlake Hockey team managers are required to complete an electronic Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (VSC), aka police check, online through the Calgary Police Service. VSC allows applicants the convenience of applying online to submit their applications 24/7 from any location. Applicants can monitor the status of their application, any time, through their own personal account.

The process in which Vulnerable Person Sector Checks (VSC) are completed for volunteers has changed.  Glenlake has purchased vouchers that will cover the cost of the VSC so no personal cost to the coach should be incurred for meeting this coach requirement.  These vouchers are only available through the Glenlake Administrator.   The ability to cover this cost is facilitated through Volunteer Alberta, Volunteer Alberta does not charge Glenlake nor does the Calgary Police Service charge Glenlake to process the police checks.  Because of this arrangement, Glenlake does not reimburse coaches for the cost of a VSC.

Results are available in your account for 60 days from completion. Please make sure you download and save a copy within this timeframe if desired. Your certificate will not be accessible in your account past 60 days, however will be accessible if saved to a personal desktop or folder.

If your current VSC has expired please contact the Glenlake Administrator at admin@glenlakehockey.com, to obtain a voucher link to submit your VSC application.
