trails west & glenlake try hockey program

The Trails West and Glenlake Hockey Associations have teamed up again this year with Hockey Calgary, the Flames Foundation, the Flames Alumni Group, and Adrenalin Sports to offer an exciting Try Hockey Program! This program is a fantastic opportunity for kids and families to explore the world of hockey in a fun and relaxed environment. Over 8 weekly sessions, participants will learn the basics of skating and fundamental hockey skills through engaging games and activities. With a focus on fun and teamwork, kids will gain confidence on the ice while developing essential skills like skating, stickhandling, and passing. It’s the perfect way to introduce your family to the sport in a welcoming, supportive setting!

REGISTRATION COST

This cost includes 8 ice sessions, a Try Hockey Jersey, and socks.


FORMAT

Each ice session lasts 60/75 minutes, focusing on skating, shooting, stickhandling, and the game of hockey.


AGE RANGE

This program is available for players in the U7-U11 age groups (born 2018-2015). The program caters to a range of skill levels and age groups.

eQUIPMENT

Players must wear CSA-approved hockey equipment. A jersey and socks will be provided with registration.

Trails West, Glenlake, Hockey Calgary and Adrenalin have teamed up to offer participants a discount on equipment.  Please refer to the information below.
